From El Salvador, Luis Zablah is a fourth-year Communications and Digital Journalism student at Thompson Rivers University, with a minor in Marketing. After completing a year back home at American College, Luis transferred his credits and began pursuing his degree at TRU in September 2023.
With a passion for pop culture, Luis has been inspired by his experience throughout his academic and professional journey, taking every opportunity to gain hands-on experience in journalism and communications. Throughout his work with the student newspaper The Omega and an eight-week intership at CBC Radio Kamloops, Luis has developed a strong interest in crafting stories that genuinely connect with people.
Luis is intersted in covering local stories, student issues, and pop culture, with a focus on making information accessible and engaging for everyday audiences.
He aims to continue developing his skills in storytelling and contribute to meaningful, community driven journalism.
